The Coconut Flute
Keakaoku was a young child with no voice. Upon hearing of a flute that would allow him to express his thoughts with others, his kahuna are sent out in search of it. To obtain the flute, however, they must find a way to distract the mythical beings that guard it.

The Ka‘ena Aloha Series contain eight traditional Hawaiian legends stories about the Wai‘anae coast on the island of O’ahu told in photographic depiction. Each story features photographers and models from their respective moku who all donated their time and work to recreate the lost stories of ancient Hawai‘i.
